One quick update before my trip to Gokarna, which will (finally) separate me from internet for next few days. Today I will tell you a little bit more about transport in India. It looks like the one that we have in Europe but it isn't. As you can guess, it's totally different. It looks like they have few rules that make every ride, with any of vehicles, an unforgettable expirience:
Rule no1:
Using of vehicle horn is obligatory. Everyone must use it all the time during the ride, at least once in every 12 seconds. Everyone. All the time. At least that is my conclusion (in lack of any better explanation)
Rule no2:
You must hit every bump on the road that you see. That is some kind of a game I guess, or maybe they get a fine if they miss too many bumps. Especially bus drivers - more passangers - more bumps they need to hit. Hitting a bump filled with water, while foreigners are passing by, gets you extra points.
Rule no3:
Never let anyone pass you, especially if you are a driver of rickshaw with some foreigners inside. Try to pass who ever you can, whenever you can, in any possible way (don't be affraid of using pedestrian part of the street - if there is one). Try not to hit pedestrians, if it's possible, otherwise you lose some points.
Rule no4:
Don't hit the cow - if so, your karma drops down to -50 instantly.
Good thing is that I am getting used to all of these rules. I was thinking about buying a hand horn, so I can participate in the game, but I am not sure about it. Tell me, what do you think?
